Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to NeoGuard (“we”, “us”), operated by Greulich Digital Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you visit our website. We comply with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP, in German nDSG) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

3. What Data We Collect
NeoGuard is primarily a content and affiliate website, and we keep the personal data we collect to a minimum:
- No accounts or registration: We do not require you to create an account.
- No payment processing by us: All purchases happen on the respective product vendor’s website (e.g., NordVPN, 1Password). We never see or process your payment information.
Tool checker (Data Residency Report)
On the CLOUD Act Exposure Scanner page you can enter the tools you use to check their US data-access exposure. When you do, we record the term you entered and whether it matched our data. We use this to prioritize which tools to research. This record holds no IP address, no cookie, and nothing that identifies you.
On the same page you may optionally enter your email address to receive your stack’s exposure summary. We use it only for that purpose and to gauge interest, and we email the summary via Resend (see Section 6) once it is ready. The form does not send anything automatically. You can request deletion at any time at [email protected]; we delete your address once the summary has been sent, on request, or after 18 months at the latest. Anonymous checker entries (without an email) hold no identifying data and are kept in Cloudflare D1 for up to 18 months as an aggregate signal.
4. Cookies & Analytics
- Essential cookies only: We use a single localStorage entry to remember your cookie preference. No tracking cookies are set by default.
- Analytics: If you consent, we may use privacy-friendly analytics (e.g., Plausible Analytics) that do not use cookies and do not track you across websites. These analytics are aggregated and anonymous.
- No third-party tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any invasive tracking tools.
5. Affiliate Links
Our website contains affiliate links to third-party products (e.g., NordVPN, 1Password, Avast). When you click these links:
- You are redirected to the vendor’s website.
- The vendor may set their own cookies to attribute the referral.
- We receive a commission if you make a purchase. This does not affect your price.
- We have no access to your data on the vendor’s website.

7. Your Rights
Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request information about any data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to data processing
- Withdraw any consent you have given (for example, the notify-me email)
